Dhaka: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Sayed Abdullah Mohammad Taher emerged victorious in the Cumilla-11 constituency during the 13th National Parliament Election. Taher secured a total of 1,33,308 votes, surpassing his closest competitor, BNP candidate MD Kamrul Huda, who garnered 76,638 votes.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a referendum held in conjunction with the election saw 1,67,253 individuals casting ‘Yes’ votes, while 44,926 people voted ‘No’. The announcement of these results took place today at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre located at Nirbachan Bhaban, Agargaon in the capital.
