Jamaat Ameer to Attend Election Rally in Pirojpur

Pirojpur: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer and chief of the 11-party alliance Dr Shafiqur Rahman is set to visit Pirojpur to participate in an election rally in anticipation of the upcoming 13th National Parliament election. The district Jamaat-e-Islami disclosed this information during a press conference.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr Shafiqur Rahman will address the public at the Pirojpur Government High School grounds at 11:00 am on February 6. His visit has sparked notable enthusiasm among the party leaders and activists throughout the district, as noted by the organizers.



Several senior leaders will join the Jamaat Ameer, including Jamaat’s Central Assistant Secretary General Moazzem Hossain Helal, Bangladesh Labour Party Chairman Mostafizur Rahman Iran, and representatives from Jatiya Ganatantrik Party and National Citizen Party. Jamaat-nominated candidates from the Pirojpur constituencies, along with a Jamaat-supported candidate, will also be present at the rally.



District Ameer Principal Tafazzal Hossain Farid emphasized the significance of Dr Shafiqur Rahman’s visit and the public meeting for the people of Pirojpur. He mentioned that Dr Shafiqur Rahman will engage with the local community and present a speech addressing national reconstruction amidst the current political and social circumstances.



Farid also highlighted that the preparations for the public meeting, including the construction of the stage and logistical arrangements, are nearing completion.
