Dhaka: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman has expressed concern over the health condition of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. In a Facebook statement, the Jamaat chief mentioned the news of Begum Khaleda Zia's worsening physical condition has caused worry and that his party has been regularly enquiring about her health.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr Rahman prayed for her swift and complete recovery. He stated, "We earnestly supplicate to the Almighty Allah to grant her quick and full healing, ease all her sufferings and provide what is best for her."
Dr Rahman extended his prayers for protection for all, adding, "May Allah safeguard us all from illnesses and adversities, Ameen."
