Dhaka:The admission tests for first-year undergraduate programs at Jahangirnagar University (JU) for the 2026-27 academic session are set to begin on January 10 and will continue until January 21, excluding Fridays and Saturdays. This schedule was confirmed today by JU Deputy Registrar (Academic) Syed Mohammad Ali Reza following the inaugural meeting of the Central Admission Test Management Committee.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting led to several decisions regarding the organization of the admission tests. Notably, the tests will be conducted on the JU campus, contrary to previous plans to hold them at the departmental level. The arrangement was reconsidered and decided against for this year.
The admission test fees were also a topic of discussion during the meeting, although no final decision has been made. Ali Reza stated that the fee structure will be finalized in a subsequent meeting, and it is currently premature to announce any changes to the fees. Additionally, the unit structure for the admission tests will remain the same as the previous year, with the inclusion of the Law Department under the Faculty of Social Sciences for this year's tests.
