Kushtia: A student of the Al-Quran and Islamic Studies department under the 2021-22 session at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia was found dead in a pond adjacent to Shah Azizur Rahman Hall. The deceased was identified as Sajid Abdullah, son of Muhammad Ahsan from Ghatail upazila in the Tangail district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Sajid Abdullah's body was discovered floating in the pond at approximately 5:30 pm. Following the discovery, IU thana police retrieved the body and transported it to the university's medical centre. There, a doctor confirmed Sajid's death and subsequently referred the case to Kushtia Medical College Hospital for further formalities.
The cause of Sajid Abdullah's death remains unknown at this time. Authorities are expected to conduct a thorough investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding his untimely demise.
