The authority of Islamic University (IU) Kushtia appointed Professor Dr Shahinuzzaman of Electrical and Electronic Engineering department as the new proctor.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah appointed him to the post for the next one year.
A press release signed by IU acting registrar H M Ali Hasan confirmed.
He replaced Professor Dr Shahadat Hossain Azad of English department as he resigned from the post on 17 August.
