Jerusalem: Israel is preparing to receive the remains of a deceased hostage from the Gaza Strip, according to the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The remains are expected to be handed over by the Red Cross in the coming hours and will be subject to forensic identification upon arrival. This development comes as militants continue to hold the bodies of two captives in Gaza.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a statement earlier from Hamas's armed wing indicated that they, along with the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad militant group, would hand over a hostage body at 5pm local time (1500 GMT). This move follows ongoing searches in the northern Gaza Strip, where the body's location was recently discovered.
