Dhaka: The Islamic Foundation is set to organize a national ‘Seerat’ competition aimed at encouraging individuals, especially students, to delve into the life of Prophet Muhammad (SM). The competition will commence at the district level, with successful participants moving up to the divisional stage and ultimately competing in a national final.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the competition will feature three categories for participants: Group A for students in classes VI to VIII under 15 years from schools and madrasahs; Group B for students in classes I to XII under 19 years from schools, colleges, and equivalent institutions; and Group C for university students and equivalents under 27 years.
National-level winners will be awarded cash prizes, with first place receiving Tk 50,000, second place Tk 45,000, and third place Tk 40,000, along with crests and certificates. Prizes will also be distributed at the divisional and district levels.
Registration for the competition will be open from April 5 to April 30 at all divisional and district offices of the Islamic Foundation. The district-level contests are scheduled to occur nationwide in the first half of May, followed by the divisional stage in the latter half of May. The national final is planned for the second half of June.
Students wishing to participate are required to complete the registration process by April 30, accompanied by a certificate from the head of their educational institution.
