Islamic Foundation Hosts Independence Day Programmes in Jashore

Jashore: Islamic Foundation (IF) in Jashore organised a series of programmes including Khatme Quran, discussion and doa mahfil to commemorate the Great Independence Day 2026. The event aimed to highlight the spirit of the Liberation War and emphasize national development, prosperity, and unity.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the discussion was held this morning at the IF auditorium. It featured Jashore Zila Parishad Administrator Delwar Hossain Khokon as the chief guest and Professor Dr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman as a special guest. The event was presided over by the Deputy Director of Islamic Foundation Jashore, Billal Bin Kashem, and included speeches by Maulana Ashrakh Ali and Md. Masum Billah, among others.



The programme was attended by distinguished citizens, ulema, professionals from various fields, and officials and employees of the Islamic Foundation. The speakers underscored the importance of social justice, educational expansion, and the promotion of moral values to ensure that the benefits of independence reach every household. They also emphasized the need for collective efforts to work for the welfare of the country and its people.



Earlier in the day, a Khatme Quran and a special doa mahfil were conducted, offering prayers for the peace and prosperity of the nation and seeking eternal peace for the souls of the Liberation War martyrs. The doa was led by Maulana Moinuddin, Imam and Khatib of Jashore Model Mosque.
