Dhaka:A delegation from Islami Andolan Bangladesh met with former Prime Minister of Mali, Moussa Mara, at a hotel in the city. The meeting focused on the current political and economic situations in Bangladesh and Mali, issues of mutual interest, and the unity of the Muslim Ummah, emphasizing the possibilities and need for mutual cooperation.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, both parties agreed on the necessity of taking a firm stance against corruption for public welfare and national development. They expressed particular interest in promoting the welfare of the Muslim Ummah and strengthening mutual cooperation.
Moussa Mara praised the people of Bangladesh, noting his inspiration from the enthusiasm and positive role of the younger generation. He also expressed interest in attending the annual Mahfil of Charmonai in the future with a high-level delegation from the Ulama community of Mali.
The meeting included discussions on increasing people-to-people contact between the two countries, exchanging experiences, and creating new opportunities for future cooperation in various fields. Present at the meeting were Islami Andolan Bangladesh's International Affairs Adviser Alhaj Golam Masih, Information and Research Secretary Md Kamrul Islam, Member Secretary of the International Affairs Sub-Committee Md Rajon Sikder, and International Affairs Secretary of Islami Chhatra Andolan Md Moinul Islam, among others.
