Ishraque Discusses Civic Challenges with DSCC Administrator in Dhaka

Dhaka: State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Ishraque Hossain, MP, today held a meeting with Dhaka South City Corporation administrator Md Abdus Salam at his office, focusing on various civic problems affecting the capital. After the meeting, Ishraque addressed journalists, highlighting the fruitful nature of their discussions on several important issues, including the need for extensive mosquito control efforts ahead of the upcoming dengue season.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Ishraque emphasized the multifaceted problems that require attention in the city. He noted the necessity for road maintenance in multiple areas across Dhaka, which was a key topic during the meeting. The discussions also stressed the importance of being proactive in addressing these civic issues.



The state minister conveyed that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has directed all relevant parties, particularly the elected Members of Parliament from Dhaka and the city administrators, to work towards alleviating citizen hardships and addressing potential challenges such as dengue outbreaks and monsoon-related water logging. Ishraque affirmed, “Under the Prime Minister’s leadership, we will work together as a team to tackle these challenges.”
