Irregularities Will Not Be Tolerated in Development Projects: Anee

Dhaka: Water Resources Minister Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee today emphasized that the government will not tolerate negligence or irregularities in development projects and public service delivery. Addressing a gathering at the District Lawyers’ Association auditorium as the chief guest, Anee highlighted the government’s commitment to maintaining standards in development efforts.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Anee stated that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, has been diligently working to accelerate the nation’s development since taking office. He noted that visible progress has been made across the country over the past three months.



During the event, Anee highlighted key development initiatives in Lakshmipur, including the realization of railway connectivity, which was a long-standing demand of the district’s residents. Additionally, he mentioned that Chandraganj has been upgraded to an upazila, and a medical college, a nursing institute, and an independent university have been established in the district.



The program was attended by several distinguished guests, including District Council Administrator Shahbuddin Sabu. The event was presided over by Advocate AKM Humayun Kabir, the former President of the District Lawyers’ Association.
