Dhaka: Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed today announced that a coordinated investigation is being conducted into the recent recovery of bomb-like objects in order to identify those responsible and determine if the incidents are connected. "We are investigating to identify those involved and ascertain whether there are any links between the incidents," he stated during a press briefing at the Home Ministry in the Bangladesh Secretariat.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Home Minister remarked that the incidents seem to be attempts to create panic and disrupt social harmony, with bomb-like objects found in Motijheel and Ashulia. Ahmed emphasized that intelligence and law enforcement agencies are monitoring the activities of banned organizations and certain groups operating from abroad as part of the investigation.
He assured that further details would be shared with the public once the ongoing investigation reaches completion.
