Dhaka: Interviews of aspirants for the reserved women’s seats of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in the 13th National Parliament began today. The party’s nomination board initiated the interviews at 3:15 pm at the BNP chairman’s office in Gulshan, under the leadership of BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, before the interviews commenced, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General, remarked on the process, stating, “We expect that the Standing Committee and the party’s nomination board will properly evaluate the candidates for the women’s seats.” The interviews are a critical step in selecting representatives for these reserved positions, reflecting the party’s commitment to ensuring fair evaluation of candidates.
Party sources have indicated that the interview process will span the next two days. On the first day, aspirants from Rangpur, Rajshahi, Barishal, Faridpur, and Khulna divisions are scheduled to be interviewed. Tomorrow, candidates from Chattogram, Sylhet, Cumilla, Dhaka, and Mymensingh divisions will appear before the board, beginning at 3:00 pm.
