International Leasing and Financial Services Chairman Nazrul Islam Khan, better known as NI Khan, has received the Bima Padak 2022.
NI Khan was honoured with the award for his contribution in the making of a documentary on the insurance sector and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s contribution to the development of the sector.
Sheikh Mohammad Salim Ullah, secretary at the Financial Institutions Division, handed over the award on behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on National Insurance Day Tuesday.
NI Khan, a former bureaucrat, was the national project director of the Access to Information (A2i).
He joined International Leasing on June 1, 2020, as an independent director and chairman following a directive of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court.
