Mymensingh: The inter-school volleyball and academy cup badminton competitions for boys and girls were successfully held at two separate venues-the circuit house ground and gymnasium-in Mymensingh district. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Md Zafarullah Kajal, the additional director of the Narcotics Control Department of Mymensingh Division, distributed the prizes to the winners. Assistant director of the Narcotics Control Directorate, Md. Kawsarul Hasan Roni, was also present as a special guest at the ceremony. In the boys' volleyball final, Mankonn High School from Muktagachha upazila claimed the title by defeating Patgudam High School from Sadar Upazila with set points of 15-9 and 15-12. Meanwhile, the Academy Cup badminton competition featured eight singles and doubles events for boys and girls in the under-13 and under-16 categories. Mymensingh City Corporation's 'Shuttler Badminton Academy' emerged as the champions in the badminton competition, securing four gold and five silver medals. The event saw the participation of forty-eight players from five academies, organized by the district sports office under the annual sports program of the sports department.
