Innovation and Skills Key to Boosting Productivity, Says Naser Khan

Mirpur:Industries Secretary Abdun Naser Khan emphasized the necessity of integrating innovation, knowledge, and skills to maximize the use of Bangladesh's limited resources, aiming to enhance production efficiency by reducing costs and time.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Naser Khan highlighted the importance of creating new opportunities to improve productivity by leveraging the talent and creativity of future generations. His comments were made during the inauguration of an innovation fair for students at the Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation College campus, as part of the National Productivity Day 2026 celebrations.

During the event, Naser Khan defined productivity as the ability to increase production and achieve desired outcomes at lower costs and in less time by optimally utilizing existing resources. He stressed that the primary goal of boosting productivity is to make the best use of the country's resources and capabilities.

The innovation fair showcased student projects that demonstrated the potential solutions to various national challenges through innovative thinking. Naser Khan noted that initiatives involving artificial intelligence, waste reduction, electricity generation from waste, and converting waste into fertilizer are directly tied to productivity improvements.

He praised the new generation's efforts in addressing the country's problems with innovative ideas, calling these efforts highly encouraging. He also urged the current generation to create opportunities and a supportive environment for their successors, emphasizing the responsibility to prepare the ground for future generations.
