Dhaka: Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md. Nahid Islam today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of BNP vice chairman, former minister, and valiant freedom fighter Abdullah Al Noman. In a condolence message, he described Noman as a selfless politician, stating, “He was known as a leader with personality in the political arena, and his demise is an irreparable loss to the country.” The adviser prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Noman passed away today at the age of 79. BNP Chairperson’s Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan reported, “Noman suddenly fell ill at his Dhanmondi residence early this morning as he was immediately rushed to Square Hospital, where the on duty doctor declared him dead around 6 am.”
Abdullah Al Noman is survived by his wife, a son, a daughter, grandsons, and granddaughters, along with a host of relatives, friends, admirers, and political fellows.
