Khulna: Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Maksud Helali today emphasized the necessity of effective coordination and collaboration between industry and educational institutions. He highlighted that such partnerships are essential for developing skilled manpower capable of addressing the challenges of the 21st century. His remarks were made during a seminar titled ‘Strengthening Industry-Academia Collaboration with Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET)’, where he participated as the chief guest.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the seminar was organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of KUET and took place in the conference room of the university’s administrative building. The Vice-Chancellor underscored the importance of these seminars in familiarizing graduates with real-life industrial experiences and enhancing their employability in the competitive job market.
The seminar was chaired by Director of KUET IQAC Professor Dr Md Hasanuzzaman. Managing Director of Islov International Limited Dr Asif M Zaman attended the event as the special guest and keynote speaker. Additionally, Director of Business, Excellence and Development of Islov International Limited Ali Reza participated as a special resource person.
Additional Director of IQAC Professor Dr Md Nur Qutubul Alam delivered the welcome address. The inaugural session was followed by detailed discussions in the technical sessions, which focused on various aspects of mutual cooperation between industry and academic institutions.
