Dhaka: Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma met Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Monday morning to discuss various bilateral issues. The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s Office at the Secretariat, starting around 9:30 am, as confirmed by the Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Saleh Shibly.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Shibly stated that the Indian High Commissioner paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister. During the meeting, discussions were focused on strengthening the relations between Bangladesh and India, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman and Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humaiun Kobir were also present at the meeting, highlighting the significance of the discussions. In addition to engaging in dialogue, the Indian High Commissioner presented the Prime Minister with a book and a showpiece, symbolizing a gesture of goodwill and continued partnership between the two nations.
