Dhaka: Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, and Science and Technology Fakir Mahbub Anam has expressed deep shock at the death of noted educationist Dilara Hafiz. Dilara Hafiz, the wife of Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, passed away in Singapore this afternoon while undergoing treatment.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in a message, Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam highlighted the immense contributions of Dilara Hafiz to the country’s education sector. He praised her dedication as an educationist, noting that her life and work will continue to serve as an inspiration for the nation. The minister conveyed his prayers for the eternal peace of her soul and extended his deepest sympathies to her bereaved family.
Abdun Naser Khan, Secretary of the Posts and Telecommunications Division, also expressed profound shock at the passing of Dilara Hafiz. He acknowledged her past roles as the Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education and the principal of Eden College, underscoring her significant impact on the educational landscape of the country.
