Dhaka: The Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) organized a workshop titled 'Placement and Career Development' on Saturday at the Management FBS Club Limited in Bangla Motor in the capital. The event, organized by the Members' Placement Sub Committee, marked a significant step in a new series of career grooming sessions focused on advancing the professional skills of the Institute's Members.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the workshop targeted job-aspirant members, newly admitted members, and newly Qualified Chartered Secretaries (QCS). It commenced with opening remarks from Uttam Kumar Dey, Chairman of the Members' Placement Sub-Committee, who emphasized the series' goal of bridging the gap between academic excellence and professional success to help members stay competitive in the job market.
M. Zulfiquar Hussain, CEO and Lead Consultant of Grow n Excel, led the first session, offering participants practical insights into the job market overview, employer expectations, CV writing, interview preparedness, and job-search strategies. The second session, conducted by Md. Rakibul Hasan Mahmud, CEO of Professional Business Solutions Bangladesh, centered on career development and skill enhancement techniques.
The event concluded with an address by ICSB President Hossain Sadat, who reaffirmed the Institute's dedication to member development and underscored the importance of equipping Chartered Secretaries with modern skills and a strategic mindset to excel in today's corporate environment. The workshop ended with the distribution of participation certificates to attendees.
In closing remarks, Muhammad Rony Islam, Co-Chairman of the Members' Placement Sub Committee, expressed gratitude to the facilitators and participants, reinforcing the Institute's commitment to the professional growth of its members.
