Dhaka: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) and American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB) for strategic partnership and mutual benefits. Professor Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor of AIUB, and Abul Fazal Mohamed Rubayat FCS, Chairman of the Education Committee at ICSB, signed the MoU at a function held at the AIUB campus in the city.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the MoU aims to enhance academic and professional achievements, facilitating the sharing of knowledge, research works, and curriculum improvements. It also focuses on organizing events, training programs, and comprehensive development of both organizations under agreed terms and conditions.
In addition to the MoU signing, a career session titled ‘Unlocking your potential with ICSB: A journey to professional excellence’ was conducted. The ICSB team was led by A K M Mushfiqur Rahman FCS, Vice President, who introduced the delegates to the Vice
Chancellor of AIUB and highlighted the prospects of the chartered secretary profession and the activities carried out by ICSB.
Notable dignitaries from ICSB, including Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun FCS, Treasurer, Md Azizur Rahman FCS, Council Member, Oli Kamal FCS, Council Member, Md. Sharif Hasan FCS, Council Member, and Mohammad Shafiqul Islam Bhuiyan FCS, Chairman of the Examination Committee, attended the seminar. Both parties expressed a desire for a new level of reciprocity in resource development, sharing, organizing workshops, seminars, conferences, and other knowledge-sharing activities.
The event concluded with both parties exchanging souvenirs.
