Dhaka: The results of the four-year Fazil Bachelor (Honours) examination under the Islamic Arabic University (IAU) have been published, showing a pass rate of 95.5 percent.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, IAU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Shamsul Alam officially announced the results this morning, as per a release issued in the evening. Earlier, Examination Controller Mohammad Ali handed over the results to the Vice-Chancellor at an event.
Congratulating the successful students, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Shamsul Alam emphasized the university’s commitment to providing quality education. He stated, “Every effort will be made to transform madrasah education into a model education system at the national level.” The Vice-Chancellor also assured that the Islamic Arabic University aims to eliminate session and certificate jams within this year.
The announcement event was attended by Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Shahidul Islam, Treasurer ASM Mamunur Rahman Khalili, Dean of Kamil (Postgraduate) Education Training and Research Centre Prof Dr Mohammad Oli Ullah, Dean of Curriculum Development and Evaluation Center Prof Dr Muhammad Shazaat Ullah Faruqui, Registrar Md Ayub Hossain, Director of Planning and Development Prof Dr Md Rafiq Al Mamun, alongside other university teachers, officers, and employees.
In this year’s examination, Darunnajat Siddiquia Kamil Madrasa achieved first place across the first, second, third, and final years in the merit list. Government Madrasa-e-Alia secured second place in the final year, while Jamia Ahmadiyya Sunni Kamil Madrasa of Chattogram obtained second place in the first, second, and third years.
A total of 11,354 candidates participated in the examination, with 10,757 successfully passing. The Fazil examination was conducted from May 25 to July 23 this year, and complete details regarding the results are available on the university’s website.
