Husband Arrested for Allegedly Killing Wife in Mirsarai

Mirsarai: Police arrested a man today for allegedly killing his wife during a family dispute at Moghadia village in Mirsarai upazila of the district. The deceased was identified as Reena Akhter, 29, daughter of Abu Taher of Bherakhola village under Brahmanpara police station in Cumilla district. She was found dead at her residence.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mirsarai Police Station Atiqur Rahman stated that the body was recovered and sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Police reported injury marks on different parts of the victim’s body, indicating potential foul play, but noted that the actual cause of death will be confirmed after the autopsy report is received.



Alamgir Hossain, 30, husband of the deceased, has been arrested in connection with the incident. Legal proceedings are currently underway as authorities continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
