Dhaka: The results of this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations were published today at 10 am. Students who are not satisfied with their results will have the chance to apply for a re-scrutiny of their marks, continuing the practice of previous years.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, students will be able to apply for re-scrutiny from tomorrow, October 17, until October 23. This information was provided in a notice signed by Professor SM Kamal Uddin Haider, the Examination Controller of the Intermediate and Secondary Education Board in Dhaka. Students must apply by visiting the designated website, https://rescrutiny.eduboardresults.gov.bd, as manual applications will not be accepted.
During the application process, students are required to provide a mobile number, which will receive an SMS notification once the re-scrutiny results are published. A fee of Taka 150 will be charged for each paper, and in the case of subjects with two papers, applications for both papers are necessary. Payments can be made through bKash, Nagad, Sonali Seba, DBBL Rocket, or Teletalk SIM.
This year’s HSC and equivalent examinations took place from June 26 to August 19, with a total of 12,35,661 candidates participating. Out of these, 7,26,960 students passed, resulting in an overall pass rate of 58.83 percent. Additionally, 69,097 students achieved a GPA-5.
