Dhaka: The government has announced the postponement of the higher secondary certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations that were initially scheduled for July 24. This decision came in the wake of a Bangladesh Air Force fighter jet crash on the premises of Milestone College in Uttara, which also led to the suspension of all HSC and equivalent exams scheduled for the current day.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Education Adviser CR Abrar made the announcement during a visit to the Milestone School and College campus. He stated that a new date for the July 24 exams will be determined and announced after the conclusion of the regular examination schedule. This update was also echoed in a press release from the chief adviser's press wing.
The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee further confirmed the postponement through a press release, noting that a revised timetable for the postponed exams will be issued at a later date. The community awaits further updates regarding the new examination schedule.
