Chapainawabganj: Police recovered the body of a 36-year-old woman from a septic tank at Raninagar-Hatatpara in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Nasima Begum, wife of Mizanur Rahman.
According to United News of Bangladesh, police arrested Mizanur Rahman in connection with the incident, as stated by Additional Superintendent of Chapainawabganj Police ANM Wasim Firoz. Local residents informed the police, leading to the recovery of Nasima’s body from the septic tank.
The body was found with several injury marks. During interrogation, Mizanur confessed to killing his wife over a family feud, as revealed by ASP Wasim.
The body was subsequently sent to Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
