Dhaka: Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has extended his greetings to the citizens on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Azha. He emphasized the importance of unity, harmony, and mutual respect in the endeavor to build a safe, peaceful, and discrimination-free Bangladesh.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Home Minister highlighted the teachings of Eid-ul-Azha, which include sacrifice, self-restraint, self-purification, compassion, and devotion to Almighty Allah. He stated that these values inspire individuals to uphold morality, responsibility, and dedication to public welfare in their personal, social, and national lives.
“The true spirit of Eid is fulfilled only when people from all walks of life can equally share in its joy,” Ahmed remarked, urging affluent and capable individuals to support the poor, helpless, and underprivileged during the festival.
He also mentioned that the administration, police, and other government agencies are diligently working to ensure a safe, peaceful, and festive Eid celebration across the nation. The Minister called for adherence to cleanliness and health guidelines, encouraging the performance of sacrificial rituals in an environmentally friendly manner.
The Home Minister expressed his hope that the lessons of Eid-ul-Azha would bolster peace, solidarity, and social harmony, contributing to the creation of a safer Bangladesh for everyone. He wished the people good health, peace, prosperity, and a joyful Eid celebration within a secure environment.
