Dhaka: Home Adviser Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd) today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of an eight-year-old rape victim from Magura. In a heartfelt condolence message, he prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the young victim was receiving treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka for severe injuries sustained from the sexual assault. Tragically, she succumbed to her wounds at 1 pm today.
The child had been admitted to CMH on March 8 in critical condition, highlighting the severity of her injuries and the urgent medical attention she required. The incident has sparked widespread grief and calls for justice across the region.
