Dhaka: The holy Shab-e-Meraj will be observed across the country tonight with due respect and religious fervour. The occasion holds significant importance in the Islamic calendar, marking a night of spiritual ascent and divine instructions.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Muslims every year on the 26th night of the Arabic month of Rajab observe Shab-e-Meraj. On this night, Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) embarked on a special journey to meet the Almighty Allah. During this journey, the Prophet (PBUH) traveled on the "Buraq" to heaven, where Allah provided him with instructions to relay to the faithful, particularly concerning the details of prayers.

Muslim devotees will gather to offer special prayers at mosques and homes, seeking the blessings of Allah for the welfare of the entire nation and the Muslim Ummah. The observance of Shab-e-Meraj is a moment for reflection, devotion, and prayer among the Muslim community.
