Dhaka: The holy Shab-e-Barat, the night of fortune, is being observed throughout the country tonight with due religious fervour and devotion. This significant occasion sees the participation of countless devotees engaging in various religious activities.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Islamic Foundation has organized a series of programmes at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque. These include religious sermons, special prayers, and recitations from the Holy Quran and Hamd-Naat, beginning this evening. Additionally, religious sermons are being delivered at different mosques after Maghrib prayers, with special munajat planned after Isha prayers tomorrow.
Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has extended greetings to all Muslims in the country and around the world on this occasion. The night witnesses a large number of devotees visiting graveyards to offer special prayers, seeking eternal peace for the souls of their departed loved ones. Moreover, people are distributing money, food, and sweetmeat to the poor and destitute, marking the spirit of charity and community.
