Historic “Revolution and Solidarity Day” Observed in Sunamganj

Sunamganj: The historical “Revolution and Solidarity Day” was observed in a befitting manner in the district. Sunamganj district BNP and its affiliated organisations marked the occasion with the theme “Proponent of multi-party democracy, architect of self-reliant Bangladesh, great independence proclaimer, valiant freedom fighter, Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, Bir Uttam, Lau Lau Lau Salam”.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a huge procession from the district’s Old Bus Stand traversed the main roads of the city, culminating in a discussion meeting. The event saw the participation of several key figures from the Sunamganj District BNP, including Convener Kalim Uddin Ahmed Milon and members of the Convener Committee such as Advocate Abdul Haque, Advocate Nurul Islam Nurul, Advocate Shernur Ali, Advocate Masuk Alam, Junaid Ahmed, Monazzir Hossain Sujan, leader Suhel Ahmed, and Jubo Dal leader Jahangir Alam.



In addition, a rally and discussion meeting were also held in Dharmapasha Upazila of the district. Dharmapasha Upazila BNP convener Md. Liaquat Ali, joint conveners SM Rahmat, Nurul Islam, and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, along with members of the convening committee Mamun or Rashid Shanto and Mujibur Rahman, addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of the day.
