Barishal: Health officials today said they recorded 173 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts in the past 24 hours.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the period, 29 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division, 23 in Chattogram division, 25 in Dhaka division excluding the capital, 23 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and 18 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas, 10 in Khulna division, four in Mymensingh division, 14 in Rajshahi division, and 27 in Rangpur division, as detailed in a statement by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Since the start of the dengue onslaughts, Bangladesh has witnessed 110 deaths so far this year. Last year, dengue claimed 575 lives and inflicted 101,214 people in the country.
