Hassan Ariff Visits Home of Martyred Abdullah at Sharsha.

Sharsha: Land, Civil Aviation and Tourism Adviser A F Hassan Ariff today visited the home of Abdullah, a martyr of the July-August uprising, in Boro Achra village under Sharsha upazila. The adviser also offered ziarat at Abdullah’s grave and engaged in discussions with local residents.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Abdullah, who was a student in the Political Science department at Shahid Suhrawardi College, sustained critical bullet injuries during the anti-discrimination student movement and passed away at Dhaka Combined Military Hospital on November 14. During his visit, the adviser spoke with Abdullah’s family members and prayed for the eternal peace of his soul.

Later, Hassan Ariff participated in a view-exchange meeting near Abdullah’s grave, where he remarked that Abdullah will be remembered as a pioneering hero in the anti-fascism movement. He highlighted Abdullah’s sacrifice for the establishment of a democratic and discrimination-free society, noting that it will be inscribed in golden
words. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner of Jashore Azaharul Islam, Police Superintendent Ziauddin, and Civil Surgeon Mahmudul Hasan.
