Cumilla: National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Organizer for the Southern region, Hasnat Abdullah, has made a passionate appeal for the preservation of communal harmony across the country. While addressing reporters during his visit to a Puja Mandap in Sanchail village under Debidwar Upazila of Cumilla on Tuesday night, Abdullah emphasized the critical importance of maintaining existing peaceful relations for the future prosperity of the nation.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Hasnat Abdullah dismissed earlier concerns about potential unrest, asserting that communal harmony will always triumph in the country. He highlighted the enduring and sincere relationship between Hindus and Muslims, underscoring the necessity of keeping this bond intact.
In addition to his call for unity, Abdullah actively participated in the festivities by distributing saris among the women attending the Puja. The event was also attended by local NCP leaders and activists from Debidwar Upazila, reinforcing the party’s commitment to fostering community ties and mutual respect among different religious groups.
