Dhaka:The Chorki Original film 'Happily Married' premiered on October 5 at the Liberation War Museum auditorium in the capital. The film delves into the realities of married life, exploring themes such as changing communication patterns, misunderstandings, and everyday compromises.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the romantic comedy-drama will be available for streaming on Chorki starting October 8. Directed by Jahid Preetom, who also wrote the story, screenplay, and dialogues, the film reflects his personal experiences of marriage. Preetom shared that his own marriage helped him understand the various layers of relationships, influencing the narrative.
During the premiere, Preetom expressed that the film aims to present a relationship-focused narrative that balances humor and reflection, emphasizing the importance of understanding and caring for one's partner. This project marks his first collaboration with actor Arifin Shuvoo, while he has previously worked with actress Keya Payel.
Keya Payel, making her debut on an OTT platform with this film, highlighted the project's appeal due to its captivating story and the opportunity to work with Preetom and Shuvoo. Arifin Shuvoo, returning to Bangladeshi OTT after a hiatus, views each project as a new challenge and invites audiences to watch 'Happily Married.'
Chorki CEO Redoan Rony noted that the film presents a story relevant to contemporary life, offering viewers a chance to enjoy life amidst their busy routines. Producer Nusrat Imrose Tisha mentioned that the encouraging response at the premiere suggests the film will resonate with audiences' personal experiences.
Presented by Sensation, 'Happily Married' is part of the 'Ministry of Love' project and features a cast including Salahuddin Lavlu, Tushar Khan, and others. This film marks Jahid Preetom's second work for Chorki following his directorial debut 'Ghumpori.'
