Dhaka: Pilgrims who received a visa to perform the holy Hajj this year now have the option to cancel it, as the Saudi Arabian government has introduced a new visa cancellation system.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Religious Affairs Ministry issued a notice yesterday to inform all concerned parties, including pilgrims and Hajj agencies, about this development. The notice stated that the option to cancel Hajj visas has been integrated into the Saudi e-Hajj system.
The notice further explained that pilgrims may cancel their visas if necessary. However, a fee equivalent to 360 Saudi Riyals will be deducted in case of cancellation.
