Dhaka: Land Ministry Senior Secretary ASM Saleh Ahmed today announced that the government’s land services are embracing Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, joining a global revolution that is transforming numerous sectors such as healthcare, transportation, business, education, entertainment, and agriculture. Ahmed emphasized the pivotal role AI plays in modern life, highlighting its capacity to provide accurate information in land management, thereby making everyday tasks easier, faster, and more efficient.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Ahmed made these remarks during the inauguration of a ‘learning session’ titled ‘Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Land Services and Providing Ideas about Blockchain’ at the Ministry of Land’s meeting room. He noted that integrating AI technology into the land information system will simplify problem-solving related to land laws and other issues for the general public. The Ministry of Land aims to deliver services through an AI-based portal, ensuring that land-related knowledge and information are accessible to all.
The event was attended by notable officials including Land Reforms Board Chairman (Secretary) ASM Salauddin Nagri, and Additional Secretaries Md Shariful Islam, Md. Abdur Rouf, Md. Emdadul Haque Chowdhur, and Md. Mahfuzur Rahman.
