Dhaka: State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Aninda Islam Amit announced that the government is implementing development activities uniformly across the country, aligning with its election manifesto. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony for the renovation and widening of a four-kilometer segment of the Chanchra-Rajganj GC Road in Sadar Upazila, he emphasized that development projects are carried out without considering the voting patterns of the regions.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the state minister highlighted the impartial approach of the current administration, noting that the BNP received fewer votes in Chanchra Union during the last election. Nonetheless, the government has initiated the first road development project in the area, with a four-kilometer road renovation costing approximately Taka 4 crore. Additionally, Chanchra Union has witnessed the inaugural Family Card distribution in Jashore.
Amit also mentioned the recent inauguration of a 500-bed Medical College Hospital in Jashore by Prime Minister Tarek Rahman, which is situated within Chanchra Union. He reiterated the government's commitment to prioritizing basic rights and enhancing local infrastructure beyond party politics.
The event was attended by notable figures including Jashore District BNP President Syed Saberul Haque Sabu, Zila Parishad Administrator Delwar Hossain Khokon, Deputy Director of the Local Government Division and Administrator of Jashore Municipality Rafiqul Hasan, and Chanchra Union BNP President Rezaul Karim.
According to the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), the Chanchra-Rajganj road project in Jashore Sadar Upazila is part of the Rural Road Repair and Maintenance Programme, involving repairs and widening at a cost of Taka 3.74 crore.
