Dhaka: The government has announced an increase in the retirement age for employees of the national news agency, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), from 60 years to 62 years. This change was formalized through a gazette notification.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Information and Broadcasting Ministry issued the gazette on March 15, 2026. The revised retirement age will be effective from December 11, 2011.
