Dhaka: Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed on Tuesday announced that the government has proposed offering the position of Deputy Speaker of Parliament to a nominee from the opposition party. This proposal aligns with the principles outlined in the July Charter.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Salahuddin Ahmed communicated this proposal following a meeting with the Prime Minister in Dhaka. He mentioned that the suggestion was made in a verbal communication to the opposition party, encouraging them to select a candidate for the Deputy Speaker role.
