Govt Pledges Full Implementation of July Charter: Shahe Alam

Dhaka: State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam has affirmed the government's commitment to fully implement every provision of the July Charter. He emphasized that the spirit of the July Mass Uprising is more than just a historical event; it represents Bangladesh's ongoing struggle for democracy, rights, and the liberation of its people. This statement was made during the inauguration of renovation work at Mir Mugdha Square on the Shibganj upazila premises.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the state minister underscored that Mir Mugdha Square is not merely a structural landmark but a symbol of the courage, sacrifices, and aspirations of the individuals linked to the July Uprising. He noted that the square serves as a daily reminder to passersby of the sacrifices made by martyrs and injured fighters during the movement.

Mir Shahe Alam further stated that the sacrifices of the July martyrs would never be in vain, emphasizing that their contributions are indelibly etched in the hearts of the people. He assured that the government is dedicated to building Bangladesh as envisioned by the martyrs through the practical implementation of the July Charter, and he urged all stakeholders to maintain the beauty and dignity of Mir Mugdha Square.

The event was attended by local public representatives, leaders and activists of the upazila BNP, government officials, fighters from the July movement, members of martyrs' families, and people from various sectors.
