Dhaka: The government has officially made the jobs of 19 assistant commissioners from the BCS (Bangladesh Civil Service) administration cadre permanent. The announcement was made through a gazette notification issued by the public administration ministry, signed by senior assistant secretary Md Barman Hossain.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the notification confirmed that the positions of these 19 officials have been made permanent following their initial appointments under rule-7 of the Bangladesh Civil Service Recruitment Rules 1981. Among the officers, 18 assistant commissioners began their service on December 4, 2022, while one officer joined earlier on February 14, 2021.
The list of permanent BCS officers includes Aongmaching Marma, Nusrat Nowshin, and Md Roushan Ahmed from the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Office in Dhaka, along with Mohammad Al Imran, Md Zakaria Hossain, and Md Shafiqul Islam from the DC Office in Mymensingh. Other officers include Md Abdur Rouf, Abdullah-Al-Mahbub, and Uzzal Bain from Joypurhat's DC Office, Rafiur Rahman from Narsingdi, and Md Fazley Rabbi from Sirajganj.
Additionally, Samiur Rahman from Rangpur, Tanvirul Kader from Pirojpur, Sharmin Sultana from Molvibazar, Md Abdullah Al Mamun from Bagura, and Md Mahfuzur Rahman from Rajshahi are also on the list. The officers from Bagerhat, Chattogram, and Panchagarh DC offices are Arthita Hawlader, Soheli Noshin Prottasha, and Aminul Haque Tarek, respectively.
The notification emphasized that the order was issued in the interest of the public and would take effect immediately.
