Patuakhali: Foreign Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain today emphasized the necessity for government officials to exhibit neutrality through their actions as the nation approaches the upcoming national parliamentary election. This call for impartiality was made during an exchange of views meeting held with district-level officials at the Patuakhali district administration conference room.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Foreign Adviser highlighted the crucial role of impartial conduct in ensuring a fair political process leading up to the 2026 national parliamentary election and the referendum scheduled for February 12. He remarked that despite the lack of consensus on all issues, the public is likely to support the necessary state reforms proposed in the referendum.
Touhid Hossain also mentioned the presence of a significant number of foreign observers who will oversee the election to ensure its transparency and neutrality. The meeting was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Shahid Hossain Chowdhury, with Superintendent of Police Md. Abul Yusuf and other election-related officials in attendance.
