Dhaka: The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education has issued a directive for private educational institutions with expired ad-hoc committee tenures to establish regular managing committees by November 30. This instruction is aimed at ensuring that these institutions comply with the governing regulations.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the committees are to be formed in accordance with the Regulations of All Education Boards (Governing Bodies and Managing Committees of Private Educational Institutions at Lower Secondary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Levels), 2024, as amended. The notification, issued today, emphasizes the urgency of this directive.
Institutions that have yet to establish ad-hoc committees are required to do so within the next 15 days, adhering to the 2024 regulations. The notification clearly states that all existing ad-hoc committees will be dissolved starting December 1. Failure to form a regular managing committee will render the head of the concerned educational institution accountable, subjecting them to consequences as per the existing rules.
The notification also underlines that this order is effective immediately, underscoring the importance of timely compliance by all private educational institutions.
