Dhaka: The government has issued a posting order for 244 newly recruited officers as Assistant Commissioners (ACs) in the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) administration cadre from the 44th BCS. The Ministry of Public Administration released this order following the recommendation from the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) after the final results of the 44th BCS examination were published.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a notification signed by Deputy Secretary Aminul Islam stated that the appointed officers have been instructed to report to the divisional commissioners as specified in the posting order. Furthermore, these officers have been granted the powers of Executive Magistrate upon their joining.
The order, driven by public interest considerations, is set to be effective immediately. However, the notification clarified that the officers are being appointed as trainee Assistant Commissioners.
