Dhaka: The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has issued a directive to all educational institutions, including schools and colleges, to update their websites by July 31. This initiative aims to ensure that institutions maintain accurate and comprehensive online information.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the DSHE notice also mandates that institutions without a website create one under the National Information Portal Framework (NPF), a move designed to minimize financial costs. The press release highlighted that numerous institutions either lack a website or have not updated existing ones.
In light of these findings, every educational institution is required to update their website to include essential information such as the institution’s name, academic approval, class and gender-based data, branch approvals, teacher information, lesson plans, syllabi, MPO status, nationalization details, and other relevant notices.
Furthermore, the DSHE press release emphasized that all data concerning teachers and staff, including details about the head of the institution, management committee, institution address, and contact numbers, should be kept current. Institutions are instructed to link their website addresses to the Directorate’s module (www.emis.gov.bd) by the stipulated deadline of July 31.
