Narsingdi: Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Husain today announced the government's initiative to implement its election manifesto by inaugurating the "Mahishakhali Canal Excavation and Re-excavation Project" in Monohardi upazila of Narsingdi. The project is focused on restoring water bodies and enhancing water management in the local area.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was chaired by Narsingdi Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Anwar Hossain. Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, a BNP Standing Committee member and Member of Parliament for Narsingdi-2, attended as the chief guest.
Other notable attendees included Khairul Kabir Khokon, Member of Parliament for Narsingdi-1 and Joint Secretary General of BNP; Monjur Elahi, Member of Parliament for Narsingdi-3; Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bakul, Member of Parliament for Narsingdi-5; and Narsingdi Superintendent of Police Abdullah Al-Faruk. The project is expected to play a significant role in addressing local water management issues and fulfilling the government's electoral promises.
