Dhaka: The government has decided to extend the contractual services of key officials in the Cabinet Division and Public Administration Ministry for another year. This decision was formalized through separate gazette notifications issued by the Public Administration Ministry.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the gazette notifications confirmed that Dr. Nasimul Gani's contractual appointment as the secretary of the Cabinet Division has been renewed for one year, effective from August 18. This renewal is made under Section 49 of the Public Service Act, 2018, ensuring continuity in leadership within the division.
In a similar move, the government also extended the contractual service of M Ehsanul Huq, providing him with an additional year in his role. His service extension also commences from August 18, under the provisions of the Public Service Act. These extensions underscore the government's commitment to maintaining stable governance through experienced leadership in these essential departments.
